Timing chain kits should be stored in a dry, normal-temperature, non-corrosive environment to prevent component aging or performance degradation due to improper storage.

Temperature Requirements: The recommended storage temperature is between -20°C and 70°C. Some products can tolerate a wider range, but long-term storage is recommended in a cool environment between 8°C and 28°C to prevent micro-deformation of metal parts or deterioration of lubricant performance due to extreme temperatures. For example, some electronic or precision transmission components specifically require storage at 8~28°C to maintain stability.

Humidity and Protection: Relative humidity should be maintained between 5% and 90% without condensation to prevent moisture-induced corrosion or damage to packaging materials. It is recommended to store in the original sealed packaging, avoiding exposure to air, especially environments containing salt spray or industrial pollutants.

Special Environmental Precautions: Avoid direct sunlight or strong ultraviolet radiation to prevent accelerated aging of rubber or plastic parts (such as seals). Keep away from oily and dusty areas. Dusty environments may cause dust to get inside the chain, affecting its performance.

Do not store with strong acids, alkalis, or other chemicals to prevent corrosive gases from damaging the metal surface.

Storage Method: Store horizontally, avoiding heavy pressure or excessive stacking to prevent deformation. For chains with pre-lubricated designs, tilting or inverting may result in uneven grease distribution.
