WHAT IS A Transfer Case Chain？
A transfer case chain is a drive chain fitted inside a vehicle’s transfer case. Its main functions include:
Transmitting power from the gearbox to the front and rear drive shafts;
Switching power distribution between two-wheel drive (2WD) and four-wheel drive (4WD) modes;
In some transfer cases, this chain also works in conjunction with a gear set to switch between high and low range.
This chain is typically made of high-strength alloy steel and possesses tensile strength, wear resistance and corrosion resistance to meet the high torque demands of harsh operating conditions such as off-road, muddy and snowy terrain.

It is recommended to avoid aggressive driving during the first 500 kilometres and monitor for unusual noises or oil leaks.

Yes, after installation. The tensioner piston must be compressed completely and then released after installation against the chain. Failure to properly activate the tensioner can cause timing system failure.
